After three years, the operation was closed. After renovations in 2013, the bingo hall opened in mid-2014. In 2012 the tribe leased a new site for a bingo hall named Catawba High Stakes Bingo, The location was in the Bi-Lo building in the Northeast Plaza Shopping Center. The Catawba said its bingo profits fell 60 percent and closed the operation in 2006. The bingo was profitable for a few years, but revenues dropped after the state lottery was introduced in 2002. A high stakes bingo parlor was built in the old Rock Hill Mall on Cherry Road in 1997.
In 1993 the Catawba Nation signed a settlement agreement with the state to operate two Indian bingo halls.
